We offer hybrid working, with an expectation that you’ll be present at one of our Holland & Barrett offices in London or Nuneaton for a minimum of 2 days per week.

We’re looking for a strategic and visionary Head of Security Engineering to lead and evolve our end-to-end technical security capability – protecting our business from code to customer, while enabling innovation at pace.

This is a pivotal leadership role with real influence across the organisation.

• Define and deliver a clear, intelligence-led security strategy across cloud, applications, IT and operational technology
• Lead and develop multi-disciplinary teams across Security Engineering, Application Security, Cloud Security and IT/OT Security
• Strengthen security across AWS (primary) and Azure environments
• Champion a mature, secure software development lifecycle – from threat modelling to deployment
• Build a unified approach to securing corporate systems, retail technology, tills, handheld devices and factory environments
• Shape and embed a defence‑in‑depth strategy across our hybrid estate
• Partner with senior leaders and technology teams to ensure security is built into every strategic initiative
• Enable business growth while managing risk in a pragmatic, proportionate way

• Significant experience in a senior security leadership role, leading high‑performing security teams
• Broad expertise across cloud, application, infrastructure and operational security
• Experience securing complex hybrid environments, including modern cloud‑native and legacy systems
• Strong strategic planning skills, with the ability to translate vision into delivery
• Confident communication skills, with the ability to influence at executive and board level
• A balanced, business‑focused approach to risk and resilience
