SQL Server Consultant / DBA (SQL Server, NHS, SQL Migration) – £600 per day | 6 Month Contract | Immediate Start

* A SQL Server Consultant / DBA (SQL Server, NHS, SQL Migration) is required by a large NHS organisation to lead critical SQL Server upgrades and migrations across a complex enterprise estate as well as provide BAU DBA services.
You will be working across a large-scale, multi-instance SQL Server estate, supporting legacy SQL Server platforms while planning and delivering major SQL Server migration projects. If you are an experienced SQL Server Consultant who can own migrations end-to-end, this is for you.
To be considered, you must have:
Strong SQL Server DBA experience in large enterprise environments
Previous NHS experience (essential)
Proven experience upgrading SQL Server 2008 / 2012 onwards
Demonstrable experience planning and executing SQL Server migrations
Experience managing terabytes of data within structured governance frameworks
This is a practical SQL Server Consultant / DBA role operating across both BAU and project delivery. You will provide SQL Server DBA support across existing estates, support legacy SQL Server environments, and lead the migration from SQL Server 2012 through to SQL Server 2025.
You will write structured migration and upgrade plans, carry out performance optimisation, improve SQL Server stability, and support development teams with T-SQL scripting and deployment. The environment is large-scale, regulated, and delivery-focused. You must be confident working independently and taking full ownership of SQL Server migration work streams.
Role Details:
6 Month Contract
£600 per day
Inside IR35
Remote (South-West London occasionally)

This is a high-impact SQL Server Consultant / DBA contract within the NHS where your SQL Server migration expertise will be critical.
