Description:
Technical Author – Data Programme
** MUST HAVE BANKING EXPERIENCE**
Purpose:
The Technical Author will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality documentation that supports the data programme’s objectives. This includes technical specifications, process documentation, user guides, and governance materials to ensure clarity and consistency across all data-related initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain documentation for data pipelines, ETL processes, and data models.
- Create user-friendly guides for data tools, dashboards, and APIs.
- Document data governance policies, standards, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and analysts to translate technical concepts into accessible language.
- Manage internal knowledge bases and ensure version control of documentation.
- Support onboarding by creating training materials and FAQs.
- Strong technical writing skills with attention to detail.
- Understanding of data concepts (databases, data lakes, ETL, APIs).
- Familiarity with documentation tools (Confluence, Git Hub, Markdown).
- Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and business teams.
