SAP BW​/HANA Lead; Data Integration & Modelling

Overview

We are recruiting an experienced SAP BW/4

HANA Lead (Data Integration & Modelling) to support large-scale SAP S/4

HANA transformation programmes delivered across the UK.

This role offers the opportunity to take end-to-end ownership of the SAP BW/4

HANA landscape, designing and governing enterprise data models that underpin reporting, analytics, and regulatory compliance within secure and complex environments.

As the SAP BW/4

HANA Lead
, you will be responsible for the architecture, design, delivery, and optimisation of data warehousing and integration solutions across SAP S/4

HANA, legacy platforms, and external data sources.

You will work closely with Finance, HR, Procurement, and Project Systems stakeholders to define data structures and semantic layers that support enterprise analytics and reporting. The role also includes ownership of data governance standards, performance optimisation, and integration with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and Data Sphere.

• Lead the design and implementation of SAP BW/4
  
  HANA data models (ADSOs, Composite Providers, Info Objects, Open ODS Views)
• Oversee data extraction and transformation from S/4
  
  HANA, legacy systems, and external sources
• Define and optimise ETL logic, data flows, and transformation layers
• Ensure data governance, lineage, and audit traceability
• Manage integration with SAP Analytics Cloud, Data Sphere, and Embedded Analytics
• Establish modelling standards, naming conventions, and performance guidelines
• Lead and coordinate onshore/offshore delivery teams
• Support cutover, reconciliation, and hypercare
• Provide thought leadership on data architecture evolution (e.g. BW Bridge to Data Sphere readiness)
• Strong expertise in data modelling, ETL frameworks, and data harmonisation
• Hands-on experience with BW/4
  
  HANA objects, HANA modelling, and SQL
• Experience with SAP BTP data integration services (CPI-DS, SDI, SDA)
• Integration experience with SAP Analytics Cloud and Data Sphere
• Strong understanding of data governance, master data alignment, and compliance
• Experience supporting Finance, HR, and Logistics data domains
• Excellent analytical and performance troubleshooting skills

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or IT (or equivalent)
• SAP BW/4
  
  HANA or Data Warehousing certification (preferred)
• Cloud or data integration certifications (advantageous)
