The Cyber Security team exists to protect Coin Shares’ digital assets, systems, people and data while enabling the business to operate securely  team safeguards the firm against cyber threats in a highly regulated, cloud-first environment, ensuring that security is embedded into day-to-day operations and technology decisions rather than treated as a standalone control function.

Working closely with all teams, the Cyber Security team designs and maintains a robust security framework that evolves alongside the business. Their work is central to maintaining operational resilience, regulatory confidence and trust in Coin Shares as a leading digital asset manager.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Cyber Security Analyst with 2–3 years of experience to join our security team. Working within the fast-paced digital finance sector, you will play a key role in monitoring, analysing, and responding to cyber threats to help protect critical financial data, systems, and infrastructure.

• Monitor and respond to security alerts from various tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR).
• Investigate security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and support incident response.
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security controls and policies.
• Support vulnerability scanning, patch management, and remediation efforts.
• Work with IT and Dev Ops teams to ensure secure system configurations and deployments.
• Analyse threat intelligence feeds and assess risks relevant to the financial sector.
• Assist with compliance efforts (e.g.ISO 27001, SOC
  2) and internal audits.
• Contribute to security awareness training and phishing simulation programs.
• Maintain documentation related to security operations and incident handling.

• 2-3 years of experience in a cyber security analyst or similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, GSEC, SSCP).
• Experience in the financial services sector or other regulated environments would be advantageous.

• Solid understanding of information security principles and threat landscapes.
• Demonstrated experience with security monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., Crowd Strike, Rapid7, Qualys, Wiz).
• Familiarity with network protocols, firewall configurations, and common attack vectors.
• Experience in incident detection, analysis, and response.
• Working knowledge of security frameworks and regulations (NIST, CIS, GDPR).
• Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python, Power Shell, Bash) are a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
