The context (brief)From April 2026, nearly 3 million self-employed people and landlords must move from HMRC systems to private, approved software.
HMRC won’t offer a solution.
Banks and platforms need one.
This business is building the embedded tax infrastructure they’ll rely on.
What you’ll own- End-to-end B2B2C GTM strategy
- Partnerships with UK banks (challenger and traditional)
- Commercial structures: licensing, revenue share, white-label
- A GTM playbook that outlasts you
- You’re comfortable with regulation and long sales cycles
- You want leverage, not volume
- You don’t need hand-holding to do your best work
Startup experience matters.
This is an ownership role.
What success looks like- 2026:
Live or pilot bank/platform partnerships - 2027–28:
Scaled distribution with structurally low CAC - A GTM engine that runs without paid acquisition
