As a Business Development Manager – Geospatial/GIS
, you will strengthen TCS’s market position as a strategic growth and transformation partner for GIS solutions and services. This role involves consulting sales, pre-sales, and solutioning for Geospatial/GIS technologies across industries such as Utilities, Energy & Resources, Transport & Logistics, and Smart Cities.
- Strengthen market position and establish TCS as a strategic partner for GIS solutions and services through thought leadership and consulting.
- Collaborate with sales teams to acquire new clients and logos.
- Cross-sell and up-sell solutions and services to the existing client base.
- Develop and execute strategic consulting sales and advisory business growth plans.
- Partner with global cross-functional teams to develop compelling value propositions and tailored solutions for clients.
- Collaborate with technology partners (ESRI, GE, Hexagon, Trimble, Autodesk IQGeo, 3-GIS, Hyperscalers) to deliver integrated propositions.
- Lead solution campaigns and thought leadership initiatives, including co-authoring publications and speaking at key industry events.
- Report to the IoTDE Geo Sales Head.
- Significant experience in Consulting Sales, Pre-sales, and Solutioning for Geospatial/GIS technologies and platforms, Location Intelligence, Spatial Data & Analytics, IIoT, and Asset Management.
- Proven ability to position solutions, shape large deals, generate pipeline, and engage CXO-level executives.
- Strong grasp of GIS technologies, Utilities Network Models, Cloud, AI-powered digital twin, and mobile field services solutions.
- Track record of collaborating within a matrix organisation and managing onsite-offshore delivery models.
- Experience working with technology partners and crafting integrated solutions.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Business, or related technical fields.
- Very strong relevant professional experience, including solid experience in direct consulting sales or pre-sales in Geospatial/GIS solutions and services.
- Enthusiasm for thought leadership and innovation.
- Effective communication, influence, and negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinking and strong analytical capabilities.
- Results-driven approach with a consulting mindset.
