Senior Technical Business Analyst – LNG Trading

A leading global energy trading organisation is seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst to join a small, highly focused technology team supporting an LNG trading and shipping operations business.

This role sits close to the trading desk and plays a key part in the ongoing development and support of a bespoke LNG trading and operations platform, covering both functional change and day-to-day application support.

• Own and manage the delivery of functional change from business problem definition through to solution delivery
• Produce high-quality analysis, documentation, and user stories for enhancements and new functionality
• Take ownership of testing activities, including test planning, execution, and approval of code changes
• Ensure solutions are delivered to a high standard, fit for purpose, and can be efficiently supported
• Provide application support to business users, including issue investigation and resolution
• Work closely with developers, traders, and other stakeholders in an agile, scrum-based environment

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst within energy or commodity trading with LNG exposure
• Strong technical BA background, working on in-house or bespoke trading platforms
• Hands-on experience with ETRM systems such as Endur or EOS
• Experience delivering change in an agile environment
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience supporting trading desks or shipping operations
• Background in process improvement, automation, or digital transformation initiatives
