Analytics Engineer

We’re supporting an FCA-regulated organisation with the hire of an Analytics Engineer to strengthen its modern data and analytics capability. This is a hands-on role focused on building trusted, reusable data assets that support reporting, product insight and decision-making across the organisation.

What you’ll be doing :

* Designing and maintaining clean, scalable data models (e.g. star/snowflake schemas) and defining consistent business metrics

* Building and improving ELT pipelines in Databricks using SQL and Python/PySpark, with a focus on reliability and performance

* Feeding curated datasets into Power BI (including modelling and DAX where required) to support trusted reporting

* Working closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into data logic, and improve how analytics is consumed

* Contributing to good practice around documentation, data quality checks, lineage/metadata and version control, helping raise standards across the analytics function

What we’re looking for:

* Hands-on experience in Databricks plus strong SQL and Python/Py Spark

* Evidence of owning end-to-end analytics delivery

* Comfortable working with business and product stakeholders, challenging requirements when needed and translating them into clear data logic.

* Strong data modelling skills and confidence defining/standardising metrics

* Good Power BI experience (data modelling; DAX beneficial)

Hybrid: typically 2–3 days per week onsite, split between London and Ipswich
