AI SEO Lead​/Principal

We are exploring the next phase of our organic growth strategy, with a particular focus on how AI is changing SEO, content, and search behaviour

This role is intended to lead the design and evolution of an AI-enabled SEO strategy
, working at a strategic level to define approach, tooling, experimentation, and measurement. We are keen to speak with senior practitioners who are already operating at the intersection of SEO, automation, and AI-driven decision-making
.

This position will play a key role in shaping how AI is used responsibly and effectively to drive sustainable organic growth.

• Owning and evolving SEO strategy with a strong AI-first mindset
• Designing scalable, AI-assisted approaches to content creation, optimisation, and technical SEO
• Evaluating and implementing AI tools, workflows, and automation across SEO
• Running experimentation frameworks to test AI-led hypotheses and measure impact
• Partnering with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Data teams to embed SEO into wider growth initiatives
• Defining success metrics in a rapidly evolving search landscape (traditional SERPs, generative search, AI overviews, etc.)
• Staying ahead of changes in search behaviour, algorithms, and AI-driven platforms

• Significant experience in SEO at Senior / Lead / Principal level
• Proven hands‑on use of AI in SEO (e.g. automation, programmatic SEO, content systems, SERP analysis, internal tooling)
• Strong technical SEO understanding alongside strategic thinking
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and shaping roles or functions from the ground up
• Ability to articulate clear points of view and challenge conventional SEO thinking
• Experience working in high‑growth, complex, or scale environments
