Sustainability Manager

Sustainability Project Manager | Contract | Inside IR35 | UK Only

We are seeking an experienced Sustainability Project Manager to support senior stakeholders within a leading financial services environment. This role will operate at forum level with executive leadership and requires exceptional communication, structure, and decision-making capability.

• Lead and deliver sustainability-focused initiatives with clear ownership of planning, tracking, and reporting.
• Provide informed oversight and interpretation of regulatory requirements, including the EU AI Act
  , and assess implications for the business.
• Engage confidently with senior leaders, contributing to governance forums and steering discussions with clarity and authority.
• Drive proactive decision-making, managing dependencies, risks, and delivery timelines.
• Collaborate across business and technology teams to ensure aligned execution of sustainability and regulatory objectives.

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within financial services
  .
• Strong understanding of, and practical exposure to, the EU AI Act or related regulatory frameworks.
• Demonstrated strength in planning, tracking, and delivery governance.
• Ability to operate credibly and confidently with senior stakeholders.
• Technical competency or exposure to technology-enabled programmes.
• Experience working across sustainability, risk, regulatory, or transformation initiatives.

• Highly proactive and decisive, with a structured and organised approach.
• Exceptional communicator, able to articulate complex topics clearly at senior leadership level.
• Confident, credible, and comfortable influencing in high-level forums.

This is a high-impact role suited to a Project Manager who can combine regulatory insight, delivery rigour, and strong stakeholder presence within a complex financial services organisation.
