We are looking to recruit an individual with lived experience of mental distress to fulfil a role as a Peer Digital Engagement Officer
. They must possess excellent digital and ICT skills, along with experience of teaching formally or informally ICT skills to individuals and groups.

They will have strong communication skills and be fully motivated to empower service users to achieve their goals.

Responsibilities
  • Offer comprehensive assistance and support to service users who wish to enhance their digital/ICT skills, including managing a digital learner group and supporting individuals on an individual basis.
  • Support the Digital Assistant and play a leading role in supporting learner needs with online training courses.
  • Proactively manage a caseload of up to 15 individuals at any one time, and a learner group.
  • Recruit a Digital Assistant to work with the digital learner group.
  • Recruit service users to attend digital groups four times per year.
  • Facilitate an effective peer support process that supports service users to enhance their ICT and digital skills.
  • Attend external ICT providers with service users as and when required.
  • Help service users disclose their health needs to ICT providers.
  • Support individual learner needs while completing online training.
  • Record all information accurately on vocational databases on a daily basis.
  • Participate in service evaluation when necessary.
Project Context

The project is called Digi-Inclusion, part of a service-user managed project called Vocation Matters. This service provides vocational information and support to service users within the borough of Lambeth and is fully integrated into Lambeth Vocational Services.
