Business Analyst - ITAM; HAM & SAM

A boutique Service Now Partner is seeking an experienced Service Now Business Analyst with a strong background in Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM). This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing team delivering strategic ITAM initiatives through the Service Now platform.

In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders across IT, procurement, and compliance to define, document, and deliver functional requirements for HAM and SAM modules within Service Now. Your work will directly contribute to improving asset visibility, compliance, and cost optimisation across the organisation.

• Lead requirements gathering sessions for Service Now HAM and SAM modules
• Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories
• Collaborate with development teams to support configuration and implementation
• Support integration of HAM/SAM with CMDB, Discovery, and third-party data sources
• Define and improve processes for hardware and software asset lifecycle management
• Ensure alignment with licensing policies, audit readiness, and governance frameworks
• Conduct UAT and assist in change management and user training

• Demonstrable experience as a Business Analyst in Service Now HAM/SAM projects
• Strong understanding of IT Asset Management practices and the asset lifecycle
• Experience with licensing models, software compliance, and vendor audits
• Skilled in stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation
• Familiarity with CMDB and Discovery integrations
• Service Now certifications (e.g., CSA, CIS-HAM, CIS-SAM) are highly desirable
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
