Referment is exclusively partnering with a leading, multi-award-winning construction and engineering organisation to appoint a Head of Digital - a high-profile, business-critical leadership role at the heart of the company’s future.

This is a rare opportunity to design, lead and deliver a company-wide digital transformation, building the IT and digital infrastructure that will underpin the organisation’s next decade of growth. The successful candidate will play a central role in shaping how data, systems and people come together to drive smarter decisions, stronger controls and operational excellence.

This is a hands‑on, visible role with real influence at executive level and across live project environments.

Reporting into the senior leadership team, the Head of Digital will own the organisation’s digital strategy and execution, with an initial flagship mandate to lead the selection and implementation of a new ERP platform that will become the backbone of the business. You will be responsible for creating a “single source of truth”, enabling real‑time, decision‑ready data for both executives and site‑based leaders – and embedding digital thinking across the organisation.

• Lead a full ERP selection and implementation programme, from evaluation through to rollout and adoption
• Review and optimise end‑to‑end operational, commercial, financial and project delivery processes
• Act as the bridge between technology, operations, commercial and site teams, ensuring solutions work in the real world
• Own vendor management, systems architecture, data migration, governance and security
• Drive change management, training and user adoption across head office and site teams
• Design and deliver real‑time dashboards and management information aligned to strategic KPIs
• Build and execute a long‑term digital roadmap supporting growth, innovation and continuous improvement
• Develop internal digital capability and maintain awareness of emerging, sector‑relevant technologies

You are a senior digital or technology leader with a proven track record of delivering large‑scale ERP and digital transformation programmes – ideally within construction, engineering, infrastructure or similarly complex operational environments. You combine strategic vision with delivery focus and are comfortable operating at both board level and on‑site.

• End‑to‑end ERP transformation leadership
• Deep understanding of project‑led, operationally complex businesses
• Strong process mapping, systems architecture and data governance capability
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience delivering real‑time reporting and MI
• Comfortable working on‑site 5 days per week
