Duration: 6-month contract

Rate: £800.00 - £900.00 via umbrella

The Role

As Senior Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of complex technology initiatives, with a primary focus on a portfolio of AI, innovation, and automation programmes. You will oversee delivery from initiation through to completion, ensuring projects deliver clear business value and align with strategic, regulatory, and governance requirements.

This role requires strong delivery leadership, the ability to navigate structured approval processes, and confidence engaging with a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end delivery of complex technology initiatives
Manage a portfolio of AI, innovation, and automation projects, balancing priorities and dependencies
Work closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to define scope, outcomes, and delivery plans
Develop and maintain delivery plans, schedules, and budgets
Identify, manage, and mitigate delivery risks and issues
Ensure adherence to internal governance, assessment, and approval processes
Manage financial tracking, forecasting, and budget control across initiatives
Provide clear, regular updates to senior stakeholders on progress, risks, and outcomes
Encourage continuous improvement and innovative delivery approaches
Support knowledge sharing and capability development within the wider team

Skills & Experience

Strong background in technology delivery within regulated or complex environments
Proven ability to deliver multiple initiatives concurrently
Experience delivering SaaS-based solutions and supporting cloud migration programmes
Good understanding of AI and automation technologies and their business applications
Familiarity with Dev Ops ways of working and CI/CD pipelines
Confident managing governance, RAID, scheduling, and reporting
Experience using delivery and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and MS Project
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
