Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location: Greater London

ICP is seeking a contractor with strong expertise in Digital Shelf, Product Information Management (PIM), and GDSN to support ongoing Client/Retailer work streams during Q1 2026. This role backfills an existing GDSN contractor and will ensure continuity of delivery, subject‑matter guidance, and product data governance across priority markets.

The contractor will work independently but embedded in the account team, partnering closely with the ICP Strategy & Consulting Group Director and account leads. Work will be scoped based on the existing handover document and aligned to defined deliverables, timelines, and stakeholder needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Digital Shelf & GDSN Specialist Delivery
  • Lead and execute GDSN product data work streams outlined in the Client/Retailer handover package.
  • Support ongoing GDSN implementation and market expansion, ensuring alignment with Client requirements and Retailer expectations.
  • Review, assess, and validate GDSN product data structures, taxonomies, and hierarchies to ensure consistency across systems and channels.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot data quality issues, identifying root causes and proposing corrective actions.
  • Provide GDSN subject matter expertise on product intake, syndication workflows, attribute mapping, and schema alignment.
  • Generate GDSN deliverables such as process maps, requirements, data models, and recommendations as required by workstream scope.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Serve as a day‑to‑day SME supporting ICP’s Client account team and client stakeholders.
  • Join scheduled stakeholder calls and working sessions (frequency defined by account leadership).
  • Translate complex product‑data and GDSN issues into clear, actionable recommendations for Client and Retailer teams.
  • Collaborate with partner agencies, eCommerce teams, and technical vendors to resolve data challenges and ensure data accuracy across the Retailer and other channels.
Ways of Working & Alignment
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, managing deadlines and deliverables within the defined 40% FTE allocation.
  • Maintain close alignment with ICP account leads to ensure smooth integration into ongoing work.
  • Use existing materials, frameworks, and templates to ensure continuity with the previous consultant’s approach.
  • Provide clear weekly status updates and surface risks, blockers, or dependencies early.
  • Expected Deliverables (Jan–Mar 2026)
  • Updated or newly developed product data governance workflows
  • Attribute mapping documentation, taxonomy refinements, or schema alignment outputs
  • GDSN implementation support for agreed priority markets
  • Issue logs, QA summaries, and resolution recommendations
  • Weekly status notes or consolidated progress trackers
  • Client‑ready slides or summaries as required by project milestones
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 5+ years experience in Digital Shelf, PIM/PXM, product data syndication, or Digital Commerce Operations
  • Hands‑on experience delivering or supporting GDSN implementations
  • Strong understanding of PIM/PXM tools (Salsify a plus)
  • Experience working with enterprise clients, ideally beauty/CPG/eCommerce
  • Ability to analyze product data, identify inconsistencies, and recommend structured improvements
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments with multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem‑solving mindset and high attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload within a fractional engagement
