Position: Senior Enterprise Architect Solution Architect (Hybrid, UKMorocco)
Location: Greater London

Intelance is a specialist consultancy in Enterprise Architecture Cybersecurity and AI.

We are building a lean senior team to stand up a new Enterprise Architecture function for a major engineering and project-delivery group in North Africa.

We are looking for a Senior Enterprise Architect / Solution Architect to own overall design patterns lead key workshops produce HLA/HLDs and anchor the EA Charter and Operating Model for this flagship engagement.

Tasks

• Lead the setup and operation of the Enterprise Architecture function for a large project-driven engineering organisation.
• Design and implement the EA operating model including demand intake working groups and the Architecture Review Board (ARB).
• Produce clear pragmatic High Level Architectures (HLA) and High Level Designs (HLD) for priority initiatives.
• Define and maintain architecture principles patterns guardrails and decision logs.
• Work closely with Business IT Operations GRC and Security stakeholders to ensure architecture governance supports delivery not just documentation.
• Guide domain SMEs (Security Data Integration Solution) and ensure their work is aligned to the overall architecture.
• Run and facilitate architecture and design workshops both remotely and on-site (mainly Casablanca).
• Support 1-2 pilot projects to go end-to-end through the new EA workflow during the first phase of the engagement.
• Coach internal architects and analysts so that the client can operate and own the EA capability after the initial phases.
• Contribute to Intelances internal EA frameworks templates and knowledge base.

Requirements

• 8 years experience in Solution Architecture and/or Enterprise Architecture in complex multi-system environments.
• Proven track record of designing and running architecture governance (architecture review boards stage gates design standards decision logs).
• Hands‑on experience producing architecture views and HLA/HLDs using standard notations (e.g. C4 UML BPMN) without over‑engineering.
• Background working in project-heavy industries such as engineering construction energy utilities manufacturing or similar.
• Strong stakeholder skills able to work credibly with CIO Heads of IT GRC Security and business leaders.
• Comfortable working in hybrid mode (remote on‑site visits to Casablanca and occasionally to London).
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
• Able to travel internationally for short on‑site trips as needed.

Nice to have

• Professional EA background (e.g. TOGAF or equivalent practical experience).
• Experience with Microsoft 365 / Azure / SAP / project portfolio tools.
• French language skills and/or experience working with Francophone or North African clients.
• Prior consulting experience in a client‑facing role.
