Overview

hVIVO is looking for a tech enthusiast to join our team and kickstart their career in the exciting world of IT.

The role is IT Support Apprentice and will be part of a team of experienced Support Enginners. The role will be providing crucial technical support to our London office users.

In this role, you'll embark on an incredible journey where you'll take on diverse responsibilities such as offering first‑line support for various systems, keeping our software running smoothly, monitoring daily operations, documenting IT support requests, and even getting hands‑on experience in assembling desktops and configuring mobile phones.

This role is site based in our office in E1 (Whitechapel / Aldgate East).

Main Responsibilities
  • Friendly face and voice of our IT support team, serving as the first point of contact for users via face‑to‑face, email, or chat, offering assistance to our user base.
  • Promptly respond to enquiries, helping staff troubleshoot hardware and software issues, ensuring their problems are resolved efficiently.
  • Offer guidance and support to users in navigating computer equipment and software applications as needed.
  • Take ownership of user problems, demonstrating a proactive approach in addressing their issues, and providing clear explanations of potential solutions.
  • Create comprehensive follow‑up actions and elevate issues to the appropriate teams within the organisation when necessary.
  • Delegate more intricate service issues to our skilled 2nd Line IT Engineers for resolution.
  • Generate and deliver supporting reports to stakeholders as requested, ensuring transparency and communication throughout the support process.

Responsible for the build of the computers used by staff across the organisation and ensuring they are kept up to date.

Skills & Experiences
  • Ensuring the Windows operating systems are up‑to‑date
  • Building and maintaining laptops
  • Daily checks of services and alerts
  • Procurement of accessories used by IT and staff
  • IT helpdesk overview and ticket updates, escalation or closure
  • Provide IT project support to the business
  • Can do attitude
  • Employees have a particular responsibility for ensuring the confidentiality of personal information and company data
