Are you an experienced Data Scientist or AI/ML Engineer who wants to see their models deployed, used, and driving real commercial outcomes?

This is an opportunity to join a newly formed AI startup spun out of a major investment firm. You’ll work alongside a highly experienced team with deep commercial AI backgrounds.

The roles are front‑office‑facing and suited to exceptional technical talent that enjoys working close to users, shaping decisions, and owning outcomes end to end. You’ll be expected to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and deliver models that hold up in real decision‑making environments.

You can expect exposure to modern data science and ML tooling including Python, SQL, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), and a broad range of ML techniques spanning forecasting, optimisation, pricing, valuation, and uncertainty estimation. Experience with deep learning, probabilistic modelling, or optimisation is a plus, but strong fundamentals matter most. For AI/ML Engineers, the role has a heavy GenAI focus, owning the build and rollout of an internal product.

In terms of background, we’re looking for data scientists as well as AI/ML Engineers with excellent statistical foundations and very strong Python. You should be comfortable building models from first principles, validating them rigorously, and explaining trade‑offs to non‑technical stakeholders. Financial services experience is beneficial given the investor exposure, but strong commercial intuition and interest in finance is sufficient. Any AI experience, including personal projects, is advantageous for Data Scientist but commercial delivery essential for AI Engineers.

The bar is high. You will be assessed on fundamentals, problem‑solving, and your ability to reason about models and data under real‑world constraints.
