We're looking for a Security Analyst to join our team. As a Security Analyst you will be accountable for ensuring that the company's digital assets are protected from unauthorized access. This includes securing both online and on‑premises infrastructure and mitigating threats before incidents occur. If an incident does occur, you and your team will be on the front line to triage and manage any incidents until they are resolved appropriately.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Ongoing administration of customers in Wanstor's Vulnerability Scanning platforms.
- Monitor and manage the Microsoft Security platform for incidents or triage them providing initial incident response where applicable.
- Liaise with stakeholders and end users in relation to security issues and work to remediate them.
- Keep up to date with the latest security and technology developments.
- Be aware of emerging cyber security threats.
- A passion for security (including awareness of vulnerabilities) and a keen appetite to learn and progress.
- An understanding of basic security concepts (Subnetting, DNS, IPs, CIA triad, etc.)
- Knowledge of Patch Management to facilitate updates and patching.
- Knowledge of ITIL including change management where appropriate.
- General IT support experience at a 1st line level.
- Experience taking responsibility and ownership of stakeholders and projects.
- Well organised, able to multitask and work autonomously with an excellent attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of Windows Server and end‑user Microsoft operating systems.
- Basic Linux knowledge is also advantageous.
