- Strategic Engagement & Transformation Leadership
- Drive architectural discussions with CXOs, business leaders, and technical stakeholders to align technology solutions with business strategy.
- Understand customer business models and strategic goals to define transformation blueprints and roadmaps.
- Lead the development of target and transition architectures, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and regulatory requirements.
- Translate business value streams into technical specifications and actionable architecture artefacts.
- Analyse and identify opportunities for process and technology optimisation within existing customer environments, recommending improvements that enhance efficiency, scalability, and business value.
- Application & Data Modernization
- Lead end-to-end modernization of monolithic Java/J2EE applications into scalable microservices using Domain‑Driven Design.
- Architect and implement database modernization strategies, including migration from Oracle Exadata/ExaCC to Postgre
SQL or other cloud‑native databases. - Modernize legacy components (PL/SQL, Pro
* C) to modern languages and frameworks.
- Cloud Architecture & Dev Sec Ops
- Design and deploy scalable, secure, and cost‑optimised solutions on Microsoft Azure, following the Well‑Architected Framework.
- Define and manage Dev Sec Ops pipelines integrating tools such as Sonar Qube and Azure Dev Ops.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or ARM templates.
- Integration & Governance
- Define integration strategies across legacy and modern systems, ensuring seamless interoperability and data consistency.
- Provide architectural governance and enforce best practices for cloud‑native development, security, and compliance.
- Lead the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies including AI‑driven code analysis and observability platforms.
- Leadership & Collaboration
- Mentor development teams and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define rollout strategies, integration plans, and transition roadmaps.
- Act as a bridge between business and technology teams, resolving ambiguities and guiding implementation.
- 20+ years in software architecture and enterprise‑level solution design.
- Proven expertise in Java, J2EE, and modern frameworks.
- Strong experience in microservices, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), and messaging systems (Kafka, Azure Event Bus).
- Hands‑on experience with Azure cloud services and Dev Sec Ops tools.
- Nice to have experience in technologies and platforms such as Out Systems, Salesforce, Altrix and other similar platforms.
- Experience with CAST, vFunction, and other modernization accelerators.
- Deep understanding of database migration strategies and cloud‑native data platforms.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Ability to define and drive transformation blueprints and architecture roadmaps.
