Job Description
As a Senior Consultant in Unit 42 you will have the opportunity to work across proactive cybersecurity domains including Cloud Security, Security Operations, Cyber Risk Management, and Artificial Intelligence in cybersecurity.
We are seeking a candidate who is passionate about cybersecurity, curious with a demonstrated track record of continuous learning, and has the technical acumen to embrace data, technology, and innovative approaches to deliver the best consulting outcomes for clients addressing today’s cybersecurity challenges.
Your Impact- SOC Advisory
- 4+ years of consulting experience in SOC, security engineering, SIEM administration, and incident management with success serving large, multinational organizations in designing and implementing an organization’s security operations program, structures, and capabilities
- Deep technical knowledge in SIEM, SOAR, Endpoint Protection and EDR/XDR, Next Gen Firewalls, threat intelligence and hunting platforms
- Defensive Security Skills (desirable)
- Experience in security operations design, engineering and/or analysis and investigations in complex environments with correlations across cloud, network, endpoint, and logs
- Ability to perform detailed assessments, identify improvements, and recommend transformations to better protect, detect, and respond to threats
- Experience improving security operations capabilities such as asset visibility, threat detection, automation, case management, and regulatory enablement
- Experience in threat hunting or compromise assessments to identify IoCs or unknown threats
- Certifications including GIAC GDSA, GCIA, GMON, CISSP
- Understanding of cyber risk frameworks or standards such as 800-53, ISO 27001/2, PCI, CIS 18, CMMC
- Principal Cloud Security
- 4+ years in cloud security advisement and risk assessments
- Hands-on experience with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
- Experience with Cloud Access Security Brokers (MCAS, Netskope)
- Deep knowledge of CASBs, Cloud Platforms and related dependencies (WAF, SSO, Cloud Threats, API Security, CSPM)
- Experience with cloud migrations (cloud-to-cloud or on-prem to cloud)
- Knowledge of CLI or scripting in cloud environments is a plus
- Cloud Security skills (desirable)
- Secure software development practices (Dev Sec Ops )
- Knowledge of frameworks and standards (OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK & D3
FEND, CIS, NIST CSF, CSA CCM, ISO 27107) - Certifications such as CSCP
- Understanding of cyber risk frameworks or standards such as 800-53, ISO 27001/2, PCI, CIS 18, CMMC
- Cyber Risk Management
- Experience in cyber threat and risk assessments to support strategy and roadmaps
- Proficiency in cyber risk management services including threat, risk, and control assessments, secure software practices, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments
- Knowledge of laws, regulations, and standards related to privacy, security, and compliance
- Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK & D3
FEND, CIS, NIST CSF, CSA CCM - Strong communication and presentation skills
- Cyber Risk Management skills (desirable)
- Threat modelling & application security risk assessments, Sec Dev Ops
- FAIR Open certified & experience applying FAIR for cyber risk quantification
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA
- Understanding of cyber risk frameworks or standards such as 800-53, ISO 27001/2, PCI, CIS 18, CMMC
- 4+ years of experience performing cybersecurity consulting in at least two of the domains above, with SME experience in one domain
- Track record in strengthening existing and developing new client relationships
- Ability to thrive in a startup-like environment
- Ability to travel as needed
- Capability to grow into a valuable contributor to the practice and PANW product understanding
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Digital Forensics, Cyber Security or equivalent professional experience
