London Academy for Applied Technology (LAAT) is seeking a Social Media & Digital Marketing Manager to take full ownership of our digital presence and student recruitment marketing. This is a hands‑on, independent role ideal for a results‑driven marketer who can plan, execute, and optimise digital campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and enrolment.
The RoleYou will manage all organic and paid digital marketing activity across social media and search platforms. From content creation to campaign optimisation and performance reporting, you’ll be responsible for building and scaling LAAT’s digital recruitment engine using data‑led strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all social media channels (Instagram, Linked In, Facebook, X, You Tube, Tik Tok where relevant)
- Plan and deliver monthly and term-based content calendars aligned with recruitment cycles.
- Create engaging content including static posts, reels, short‑form videos, stories, and carousels
- Manage paid campaigns across Meta, Google (Search, Display, You Tube), and Linked In.
- Optimise cost per lead, conversion rates, and lead quality through testing and analysis.
- Integrate leads into CRM systems and support basic marketing automation and lead nurturing.
- Ensure brand consistency, regulatory compliance, and outcomes‑led messaging
- Track performance and produce regular reports with insights and recommendations.
- Work closely with admissions, academic teams, and senior leadership
- Essential:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or related field - 2–4 years’ experience in social media and digital marketing
- Hands‑on experience with paid social, Google Ads, and analytics tools
- Strong copywriting, content creation, and visual storytelling skills
- Experience using Canva, Adobe, or similar tools
- Desirable:
Experience in UK higher education or student recruitment - Familiarity with CRM systems, marketing automation, and CMA compliance
- High autonomy and ownership of digital strategy
