Responsibilities- Take ownership for the creation of MI, providing insight and analytics into market-wide trends quarterly.
- Support the Office of the Chief of Market Performance (OCOMP), reporting to the Chief of Staff, delivering high-quality data analysis and management information that enables strategic decision-making and performance oversight across Lloyd’s market.
- Lead preparation of qualitative and quantitative reports and MI for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring outputs are accurate, insightful, and aligned with strategic priorities.
- Work closely with colleagues at all levels to compile and sign submissions off.
- Manipulate data, produce insights and recommendations to ensure informed decision making and communicate key messages for performance management process, syndicate, and class performance.
- Design and deliver high-impact MI and analytics, providing expert-level analysis and actionable insights to the Senior Leadership Team.
- Use knowledge of Lloyd’s and wider insurance markets to interpret trends, identify risks and opportunities, and make strategic recommendations.
- Own the end-to-end MI process within OCOMP: data extraction, production, analysis, and visualisation, ensuring reporting is timely, relevant, and supports market performance oversight at market, syndicate, or class levels.
- Create and collate MI for the Market Performance SLT, working with individual Directors to ensure MI is reflective and informative of their area.
- Produce and collate monthly/quarterly reporting packs at market, syndicate or class level, bringing a sophisticated approach to analytics to identify performance drivers and recommend action plans or objectives.
- Support external and internal communications, collaborating with the Market Performance Business Manager, by providing data-driven insights, analysis and visual materials for presentations (market messages, speeches, training, regulatory requests, annual results, rating agencies).
- Maintain a central library of collateral for consistency and reuse.
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting and analytics, identifying areas of improvement in dashboards, processes and applications to create efficiencies.
- Extract and analyse data from key systems (Business Objects, Qlik Sense, Dynamics and others) to support decision-making, performance monitoring and reporting.
- Understanding of Lloyd’s and the wider (re) insurance market.
- Understanding of insurance P&L accounting practices and performance drivers.
- Understanding of data quality, data governance, and MI best practices.
- Understanding of portfolio management and how it operates within syndicate business plans.
- Technical underwriting expertise and knowledge.
- Proven experience producing MI and preparing reporting packs for different stakeholders.
- Experience analysing market, syndicate, or class‑level performance data.
- Track record of supporting strategic decision-making through data insights.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to continuous improvement of reporting and analytics processes.
- Experience working collaboratively across teams to deliver high‑quality outputs.
- Track record of achieving high professional standards.
- High level of data literacy competence for storage, analysis, interpretation and presentation of data, including knowledge of business intelligence tools (Business Objects, Qlik Sense).
