Join our dynamic team at JPMorgan

Chase as the Vice President and Lead for Applied AI/ML. You’ll spearhead the development of AI solutions for the HR organisation including cutting‑edge GenAI applications and more traditional machine learning HR use cases.

As a Vice President in the Applied AI/ML team, you will tackle exciting business challenges for JPMorgan’s Global HR organisation. You will lead a team dedicated to innovation, fostering a culture of accountability and growth within a global organization. Your role will involve strategic planning, collaboration with cross‑functional teams, and hands‑on technical development to drive impactful global business initiatives.

Job responsibilities
  • Serve as a local leader within our AI/ML team, driving innovation and fostering growth.
  • Mentor and develop team members, promoting an inclusive environment.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to set technical visions and execute strategic roadmaps.
  • Manage AI/ML projects using Agile methodology, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Design experiments, implement algorithms, and product ionise scalable solutions.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Masters degree or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent fields.
  • Proven track record of managing AI/ML teams and developing production solutions.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, including advanced concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on data structures and algorithms.
  • Hands‑on experience in coding and solution design from scratch.
  • Familiarity with data science platforms such as Sage Maker and Data Bricks.
  • Strong people management and team‑building skills.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Ability to inspire collaboration among technical and non‑technical teams.
  • Effective communication and solid negotiation skills.
  • Experience in fostering a healthy engineering culture and attracting talent.
