The Global Services, Security (GSS) team, a part of Amazon Web Services, brings together security, governance, risk, and compliance expertise to deliver scalable security solutions for internal and external customers. The AWS Security Assurance Services team works with major enterprise customers to ope rationalise the shared‑responsibility model during cloud migration. We seek a seasoned Security, Governance, Risk, and Compliance leader who can build and lead a high‑performing team that guides customers through complex regulatory and compliance requirements while accelerating their move to AWS.

• Build and lead a technical team focused on governance, risk, compliance, and security initiatives.
• Define and deliver security, compliance, and risk‑management approaches to help customers migrate sensitive workloads onto AWS quickly.
• Resolve security assurance questions and support risk management to achieve security and compliance objectives in the AWS Cloud through deep‑dive discussions, strategic presentations, and hands‑on automation demonstrations.
• Collaborate with AWS engineering, support, and business teams to convey partner and customer feedback for technology roadmaps.
• Travel to customer sites as required.
• Establish lasting relationships with strategic stakeholders, supporting Business Development and Customer Success efforts.

Management and Manufacturing

• 5+ years of experience leading teams in IT security, compliance, or risk management.
• 3+ years advising customers on architectures that meet NIST‑based industry standards such as NIST 800‑53, FedRAMP, NIST 800‑171, and CMMC.
• 3+ years of enterprise risk‑management experience.
• 3+ years of assessing security posture and producing evidence of control effectiveness in cloud environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems management, information security, or equivalent experience.

• Experience performing security assessments and information system audits across networks, operating systems, application security, and IT processes.
• Experience with Agile, CI/CD, Dev Ops practices and their impact on risk management and compliance.
• Certifications such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), CMMC, or similar.
• Strategic thinking regarding business, product, and technical challenges.
• Use of attack and threat‑modeling techniques to inform enterprise risk.
• Master’s degree in computer science, information systems management, or information security.
