Job Description

We put people first. It’s all about you..

We are looking for a UX Designer (Maternity Cover) to join the team and drive the delivery of our rebrand and platform migration. Reporting to the UX Design Manager, you will focus on the final stages of the rebrand rollout, support the /quote journey optimisation, and lead design experimentation. You will act as the bridge between design and development to ensure high-quality implementation while using data to inform future proposition improvements.

This is a 9-12 month parental leave cover, starting immediately.

We work together. Your team and the people you will work with…

You’ll be part of the Customer Acquisition team, who primarily work on our sign-up journey used by customers, UW Partners and the sales team. Reporting to the UX Design Manager, you’ll work in a cross‑functional squad (Product, Engineering & UX) to develop our Customer Acquisition journey.

We deliver progress. What you’ll do and how you will make an impact.

The team's focus for Q4 is around completing the migration from our old sign‑up journey to our new journey alongside the brand refresh. Key team projects include:

  • New quote journey Partner feedback monitoring: During Q4 we’ll be gradually increasing the proportion of UW Partners who have access to the new journey, allowing them to continue to give us feedback which you’ll help monitor and make decisions on whether we should be making changes to the journey accordingly.
  • Brand refresh: Answer questions from developers as they’re working on the new screens that have been designed for our new quote journey, add designs of any edge cases or additional minor journeys that haven’t yet been considered, QA the output before it goes live.
  • Potential customer promotions: Provide designs across both old and new journeys if customer promotions.
  • New quote journey optimisation: Identify any opportunities for improving the new journey once it’s fully live for all traffic, including via live user data and/or potentially speaking to customers/Partners, to help inform suggestions for optimisation.
  • Proposition changes and experimentation: Lead any customer/ Partner research opportunities that may arise as part of the plan to improve the proposition, and provide designs to help the PM with any potential live experimentation that may make sense (I.e. A/B testing).
Qualifications

Here’s the core skills and experience we’re looking for you to bring:

  • Technical Mastery:
    • Middle‑weight UX/ Product Designer with a solid understanding of full‑cycle user‑centred design (Research, UX & UI).
    • Best‑in‑class design, wireframe (low and high fidelity) and prototyping skills.
    • Solid experience of using Figma.
  • Impact:
    • You focus on delivering work that contributes to team and business goals.
    • High levels of attention to detail.
  • Planning & Delivery:
    • You can demonstrate effective collaboration with Product and Engineering teams to deliver work on time and in scope.
