Job Summary
As the Pre‑Sales Solutions Consultant (Bid Specialist) at Autogen
AI, you will act as a domain expert working alongside our sales team to demonstrate how our platform supports the full end‑to‑end bid lifecycle for enterprise customers. This is an expert‑to‑expert role focused on showing bid teams how they would actually use Autogen
AI to capture, plan, create, review, and submit winning proposals. This is not a security/integration or solutions architecture role, and it is not implementation or post‑sales onboarding. You will work hand in hand with our Sales team contributing to new business sales, collaborating closely with peers in Customer Success who manage delivery post‑deal. You’ll design custom workflows, build tailored demos, create test environments, and translate bidding process knowledge into compelling product narratives.
This role offers high stakeholder visibility and the opportunity to directly influence win rates, solution positioning, and product evolution.
- Workflow & Use Case Design
- Translate bid team processes into Autogen
AI workflows, prompting strategies, and content generation paths. - Act as a peer to bid professionals, understanding evaluation criteria, bid structures and review cycles.
- Create solution narratives that demonstrate how the platform fits their bidding methodology.

- Build tailored, scenario‑specific demos aligned to industry sector, opportunity, and stakeholder role.
- Showcase real bid lifecycle stages: capture, planning, requirement breakdown, content creation, review cycles, compliance checks and submission.
- Maintain demo assets designed to illustrate industry‑specific value propositions.
- Sandbox & Test‑In‑Play Environments
- Configure and manage short‑term trial environments for hands‑on testing.
- Curate sample data, templates, prompts, libraries, and governance settings.
- Support structured sandbox/PoCs (where required) to validate solution suitability pre‑sale.
- Deal Cycle Support
- Partner with AEs to influence prospects early and deeply in the evaluation cycle.
- Participate in expert‑to‑expert conversations with bid leaders, procurement teams, SMEs and evaluators.
- Collaborate with Technical Pre‑Sales to ensure solution design aligns with validated architecture and security parameters.
- Product & Feedback Collaboration
- Provide structured product feedback informed by bid workflows and competitive signals.
- Identify recurring feature requests and solution gaps to support roadmap prioritisation.
- Work with Product and Engineering teams to shape demo capability and in‑product bidding workflows.
- Represent the voice of bid practitioners internally and help upskill bidding knowledge within the sales team.
- Bid & Proposal Expertise:
Credible understanding of bid strategy, evaluation frameworks, and proposal life cycles. - Workflow Optimisation:
Ability to translate complex bidding processes into intelligent workflows and product flows. - Storytelling & Demo Craft:
Skilled at building targeted demos that resonate beyond feature presentation. - Commercial Mindset:
Curious, pragmatic, and comfortable operating in an evolving and ambiguous scale‑up environment. - Stakeholder Influence:
Able to engage confidently with bid experts and senior decision‑makers.
- Experience:
5+ years’ experience in a bid writing, proposal management, or similar content‑focused role, ideally within complex or regulated industries. - Track record:
Proven success in producing high‑quality tender responses, winning bids, and working across multiple stakeholders. - Tool familiarity:
Comfort with content management systems, writing tools, and ideally some exposure to SaaS platforms. - Education:
Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as Communications, Business, English, or Law.
- Experience:
Background in bidding, pursuits, proposal consulting &/or tendering. - Technical/Industry Knowledge:
- Comfortable translating process knowledge into product workflows.
- Familiarity with procurement‑heavy, regulated or proposal‑led sectors (e.g. Government, Defence, Infrastructure, Public Sector).
