• Hardware Inventory Management – ensure stock levels are constantly monitored.
• Hardware request and receipt through our internal ordering system.
• Actively monitor the ticket queue and manage requests through to completion.
• Housekeeping of IT rooms.
• Support events such as annual Power Down – post desk checkouts (PC/monitors/Mouse + Keyboard/desk phone/headset/webcam).
• Assist with hardware decommissioning events.
• Support Business moves / changes – involve in early stages of planning.
• Manage escalations to conclusion.
• Manage client expectations.
• Setup and install temporary training rooms and office‑wide events – expos.
• Patch comms rooms.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware: desktops, laptops and peripherals.
• Image/re‑image computers and configure IP phones and mobile phones.
• Support work‑from‑home hardware requests.
• Ensure policy and guideline compliance for overtime and expenses; adhere to local cost‑control guidelines.
• Manage own workload to meet SLA/OLA targets.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer‑care skills.
• Able to work well under pressure and to tight timescales.
• Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills.
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems, applications and computer hardware.
• Experience interacting with other support groups across multiple platforms.
• Experience using a help desk call‑management system.
• Technical grasp of strategic platforms such as Microsoft, Networks and Security, WAN and LAN.
• Experience working with Banking and Financial organisations is a plus.
