Job Description :Role Overview
The WMS Architect will be responsible for designing, validating, and governing end-to-end Warehouse Management Solutions for the clients supply chain environment. This role demands strong functional expertise in WMS, deep understanding of industry frameworks, ability to drive requirement discovery, and capability to support solution evaluation and governance across implementation cycles.
Key Responsibilities Requirement Validation & Alignment- Validate Requirement Packs against industry best practices and SCOR (Supply Chain Operations Reference) standards
- Identify solution gaps, improvement opportunities, and process optimization needs
- Participate in on-site visits during discovery phases to understand current operations, system workflows, and stakeholder expectations
- Conduct requirement walkthroughs, business reviews, and system mapping exercises
- Lead validation workshops with business, IT, operational teams, and vendor stakeholders
- Collate feedback, refine solution assumptions, and align scope boundaries
- Prepare Gap Analysis Reports (Draft and Final) covering deviations, risks, fit-gap scoring, and recommendations
- Develop refined, consolidated requirement packs including process flows, functional narratives, use cases, and enhancement proposals
- Provide advisory support during vendor assessment and RFP phases
- Evaluate vendor capabilities, solution compliance, technical match, and scalability
- Participate in solution governance forums, steering sessions, and progress reviews
- Ensure adherence to architecture principles, traceability, quality, and delivery alignment throughout implementation
- Use AI-assisted / NLP-based validation tools to review requirement completeness, traceability, and risk indicators
- Recommend improvements based on intelligent scan outputs and architecture benchmarking
- ensive knowledge of WMS concepts, supply chain operations, inventory flows, and fulfilment models
- Strong experience with modern WMS platforms (Blue Yonder, Manhattan, SAP EWM, Krber, etc.)
- Deep understanding of SCOR framework, logistics process models, and warehouse best practices
- Proven experience in business analysis, solution design, requirement validation, gap assessment, UAT facilitation and process mapping
- Experience working with multiple vendors and enterprise clients
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, workshop facilitation and documentation skills
- Ability to guide project execution through governance, risk identification, traceability, and solution assurance
