This role is in support of Cencora's wholesale distribution services in Europe operating through our Alliance Healthcare business.
ResponsibilitiesIn this role you will be supporting the creation of roadmaps including the shaping of a pipeline of projects, the primary purpose of this role is to take full responsibility for the definition, documentation, and successful delivery of both Waterfall and Agile projects, products and/or services within a defined timeline, scope and budget, ensuring they meet quality standards.
You will co‑ordinate cross‑functional teams, collaborating to ensure alignment with organisational goals, whilst driving continuous improvement in delivery processes. You’ll also facilitate project meetings, daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other delivery ceremonies as needed.
Working in a squad‑based team, aligned to an organisational Value Stream, you will be responsible for managing project teams in a matrixed environment whilst managing Risks and Issues across multiple work streams. You will also act as a key point of contact for Stakeholders across all levels, ensuring clear communication and alignment on delivery objectives, managing their expectations and providing regular updates.
You will address escalations and resolve conflicts to maintain project momentum.
- Experience of leading, inspiring and managing diverse cross‑functional teams to achieve delivery goals.
- Strong character to influence senior stakeholders and navigate business change plans.
- Naturally anticipates challenges and proactively develops solutions as well as understanding project lead times.
- Experience of helping teams navigate resistance and adopt new ways of working; able, through experience, to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Strong commitment to quality and excellence in delivery.
- Focused on achieving measurable outcomes and delivering value to the customer.
- Experience of analysing and translating business requirements into a roadmap of activity, considering all aspects of Organisational Change Management.
- Commitment to fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, and extreme accountability.
- Strong planning skills including critical path and dependency management.
- Strong influencing, communication and presentation skills including promotion of best practice and adherence to governance.
- In‑depth knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.) and their practical application.
- Strong grasp of project management frameworks (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and tools like Dev Ops, JIRA, Keyed In, or MS Project.
- Experience of identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks to delivery timelines and quality.
- Adept at navigating complex organisational structures and managing competing priorities to achieve common goals.
- Demonstrates effective communication by being able to summarise detailed information in such a way as to facilitate quick decision making and manage Stakeholder expectations, using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Can work with all levels of senior management, including the Executive Leadership Team.
