Overview
Senior Developer – Service Now – 6 months – hybrid London – up to £639 pday Umbrella)
ResponsibilitiesAs a developer you will help design, develop and configure the Service Now platform as we transform services by automating manual processes through the development of digital workflows and adoption of new Products. This will involve experience of configuration of workflow processes and will require proficiency in JavaScript.
The role focuses on defined work packages that will optimise the existing platform as identified by the Value Streams. You’ll proactively identify platform enhancements to maximise value, working with colleagues and beyond to meet their strategic and business objectives.
You will be able to communicate clearly across different disciplines, digital colleagues, and to stakeholders.
Qualifications- System Administration Experience
- Significant knowledge and experience of designing, developing and configuring Service Now with hands‑on experience of day‑to‑day technical platform administration, support and maintenance.
- Technical Background: solid technical background and understanding of cloud and virtual platform solutions, networking technologies, Desktop OSs (Windows 10, MacOS), Server OSs (Windows Server, Linux), Mobile OS (Windows, Android, iOS), Power Shell scripting, administration of Active Directory Services, Public Key Cryptography, administration of certification authority services, DNS (internal, external) and JavaScript.
- Problem Solver: innovative, collaborative and delivery‑focused, with demonstrable background of using technology to automate and address business problems.
- Relationship and Influencing
Skills:
strong interpersonal skills, ability to work inclusively, establishing positive working relationships and influencing people at all levels including a challenging customer base; user focus is a key attribute. - Service Now and Service Management
Experience:
Certified Service Now System Administrator (CSA) with experience of configuration of workflow processes, solid understanding of effective Service Management and ITIL processes and their application to IT operations, and experience of all housekeeping e.g., backup activities occurring on a SaaS platform.
