Meet the Team

Cisco Thousand Eyes is a Digital Experience Assurance platform that empowers organizations to deliver flawless digital experiences across every network - even the ones they don’t own. Powered by AI and an unmatched set of cloud, internet and enterprise network telemetry data, Thousand Eyes enables IT teams to proactively detect, diagnose, and remediate issues - before they impact end- user experiences.

Thousand Eyes is deeply integrated across the entire Cisco technology portfolio and beyond, helping customers deploy at scale while also delivering AI-powered assurance insights within Cisco’s leading Networking, Security, Collaboration, and Observability portfolios.

Your Impact

The Techdocs team at Thousand Eyes is responsible for writing and maintaining customer-facing documentation. As part of the Product team, we work closely with designers, product managers, engineering teams, and support engineers to produce the docs that customers need.

We’re looking for an experienced technical writer who enjoys learning about complex technical concepts, and can effectively articulate those concepts to people with a wide range of backgrounds and experience levels, through documentation. This role is ideal for a person who gets up to speed quickly, has the reflex to organize ideas clearly, and pursues information proactively.

Responsibilities
  • Gather information from disparate sources, including your own testing of product features.
  • Plan, write, and maintain documentation about those features.
  • Articulate complex concepts in clear language.
  • Use AI tools prudently - as a work partner whose suggestions you validate.
  • Use a docs-as-code approach for document version control, authoring, review, and collaboration.
  • Work on interesting problems with smart, funny, dedicated people.
Minimum Qualifications
  • You are a fluent user of git/Git Hub.
  • You learn new concepts quickly and can pass that learning along to others in words and images.
  • You love to detangle a messy document, or a forest of sources, and transform them into clear, well-organized content.
  • You ask questions on behalf of the user, and seek their answers with tenacity and tact.
  • You notice the details of things, and take initiative to fix them if they're not right.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Good knowledge of networking technologies.
  • Experience using an API.
  • Good understanding of agile software development and release processes.
