Your Responsibilities- Monitor and advise the business on implications of new and evolving regulatory obligations beyond core privacy topics, such as AI regulation, digital services regulations, cybersecurity, and e‑commerce laws.
- Advise on the implementation of new and existing regulatory requirements affecting our products and other processing activities.
- Work closely with Go‑To‑Market and Governmental Affairs teams to respond to consultations, review legal documents (especially vendor data processing agreements) and support complex deals involving data use and sharing.
- Develop internal memos and training materials on regulatory requirements and data protection, and conduct Legal Impact Assessments (LIAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
- Support the team in responding to data subject requests, including data subject access requests (DSARs).
- Perform administrative tasks such as organizing and maintaining documents, overseeing deadlines for multiple tasks, and assisting in audits as required.
- Fully qualified lawyer (e.g. at least first German State Exam or qualified in England and Wales) with at least two years of in‑house experience in an internal legal department, preferably within a tech company.
- Strong interest in regulatory affairs, data protection, and AI topics.
- Familiarity with AI regulation, GDPR, and other regulatory fields relevant to the tech industry; knowledge of horizon‑scanning is desirable.
- Strong analytical, research and organizational skills and a structured work style with attention to detail, especially under time pressure.
- Desirable experience using AI tools and systems to improve legal support efficiency and throughput.
- Good time‑management skills and ability to prioritise and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Collaborative, proactive style and ability to thrive in a demanding, fast‑changing environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
