SAP technical consultant

As an SAP Pre‑Sales Solution Consultant (Technical Focus), you will play a critical role in supporting the sales and business development process by translating business requirements into robust, scalable, and technically sound SAP solutions.

Partnering with Business Development Executives (BDEs), Solution Architects and Delivery Leaders, you will provide technical authority and credibility during client engagements—shaping solution design, defining architecture options, estimating effort, and ensuring proposed solutions are practical, cost‑effective, and aligned with SAP best practices.

You will act as the technical bridge between the sales team and delivery organization, helping customers understand how proposed solutions will be deployed, integrated and managed within their broader IT landscape.

• Support SAP BDEs in customer engagements by providing technical guidance and architectural input during opportunity qualification, scoping and proposal phases.
• Define high‑level SAP architecture and system landscape designs for S/4
  
  HANA, RISE with SAP, SAP BTP and integration with hyperscaler environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Participate in discovery workshops to assess customer environments, identify pain points and propose fit‑for‑purpose solutions.
• Lead or coordinate the creation of technical sections in proposals, RFP responses and customer presentations.
• Develop reference architectures, migration roadmaps, project plans and environment strategies (e.g., DEV/QA/PRD, cloud deployment, integration patterns).
• Estimate technical effort, sizing and infrastructure costs in collaboration with delivery teams.
• Deliver tailored demos or proof‑of‑concepts showcasing SAP technology capabilities.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of SAP’s technical roadmap, including S/4
  
  HANA releases, SAP BTP, Cloud ALM, integration technologies and security models.
• Support internal enablement by sharing insights on SAP technology trends, tools and methodologies.
• Collaborate with BDEs to write customer proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs).

• Quality and completeness of technical solution designs in bids and proposals.
• Contribution to successful deal wins and technical credibility in customer engagements.
• Accuracy of effort estimates and solution assumptions.
• Reusability and standardisation of solution assets developed.
• Internal collaboration and knowledge sharing across pre‑sales and delivery teams.

• 7+ years of experience in SAP technical architecture, BASIS or solution design roles, ideally with pre‑sales exposure.
• Deep understanding of SAP S/4
  
  HANA architecture, system landscapes and deployment models (on‑premise, private cloud, RISE with SAP).
• Knowledge of SAP BTP services (Integration Suite, Extension Suite, AI & Automation tools).
• Familiarity with infrastructure and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and their certified SAP offerings.
• Strong grasp of SAP integration technologies (CPI, API Management, PI/PO, OData, REST/SOAP).
• Awareness of key data management and analytics components (SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, Data Intelligence).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex topics to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience preparing solution designs, architecture diagrams and technical documentation for proposals.
• Collaborative team player comfortable working in cross‑functional pre‑sales environments.
• Proactive in staying updated on industry developments, emerging technologies and best practices.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth.

• SAP Certified Technology or Solution Architect (S/4
  
  HANA or BTP).
• Experience with migration tools and methodologies (e.g., SAP Readiness Check, SUM, Crystal Bridge, DMO).
• Exposure to managed service or AMS solutioning.
• Awareness of SAP security, identity and access management principles.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• SAP or hyperscaler technical certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate, Azure Architect, AWS Solutions Architect) are a plus.
