About the RoleWe are seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised Project Manager to join the team that manages governance and enablement projects for Engine by Starling. This is a great opportunity for someone with 1–3 years of project coordination experience who wants to build a career in technology governance, international compliance and security delivery in a rapidly expanding fintech. Formal certifications are a bonus but not required;
we prioritise dedication, learning, and organisational obsession.
Key Responsibilities
- Technology Certification Lifecycle: Support the maintenance and expansion of key technology certifications (SOC 2, ISO 27001), track documentation, organise evidence, and schedule vendor/auditor review meetings across multiple work streams.
- Global Mobility & Expansion: Act as the primary project coordinator for initiatives launching Engine in new international markets, support technical and compliance requirements for global mobility projects, facilitate workshops and requirements gathering with local counsel, legal and compliance teams, and maintain and report basic project documentation (timelines, dependencies, risk logs).
- Project Coordination & Support: Assist in executing multiple concurrent projects, including internal governance and information security initiatives, ensure all documentation is organised, version‑controlled and audit‑ready, and support internal reporting and assurance activities with metrics, audit response documentation and presentations for senior stakeholders.
- 1–3 years of professional experience in project coordination, project assistance or junior project management, preferably in a corporate or high‑growth technology environment.
- Exceptional organisational skills and a structured approach to managing multiple competing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to document, schedule and follow up with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Exposure to or understanding of technology governance processes and the basics of maintaining corporate certifications (ISO, SOC).
- Proven ability to assist in executing complex projects and track progress reliably against a plan.
- Global mindset, proactive initiative, and team‑player attitude across Engineering, Compliance, Legal and Risk teams.
- First interview: ~45 minutes with two of the team.
- Second interview: ~1 hour with two of the team.
- Final interview: ~45 minutes with two executives.
