Daily rate:
Circa £500

We're looking for an experienced User Researcher to join a multidisciplinary delivery team working within a secure government environment. This role will play a key part in ensuring user needs are clearly understood and embedded into service and product design.

• Plan and deliver qualitative and quantitative user research across discovery, alpha, beta, and live phases.
• Conduct user interviews, usability testing, surveys, and research workshops.
• Translate research findings into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, developers, and policy teams.
• Advocate for user-centred design and evidence-based decision-making.
• Ensure research activities meet accessibility, ethical, and governance standards.
• Contribute to service assessments and design assurance activities.

• Proven experience delivering user research in complex or regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of GDS standards and user-centred design practices.
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
• Ability to communicate research insights clearly to a range of stakeholders.
• Experience working with sensitive data and constrained user groups.
• Active SC Clearance (mandatory).
