About the Company
A growing and innovative biotechnology company developing treatments for neuropsychiatric disorders is seeking a People Operations Executive / HR Operations Specialist to support its expanding UK team.
About the Role
This is a hands-on HR operations role focused on keeping day-to-day people processes running smoothly. The successful candidate will act as the first point of contact for UK HR queries, coordinate recruitment activity, support onboarding and offboarding, and ensure HR systems and employee records are maintained accurately. The role would suit someone who enjoys operational HR, organisation and supporting employees, and who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
 
* Act as the first point of contact for HR queries across the UK team.
 
* Coordinate interview scheduling and recruitment administration with hiring managers and candidates.
 
* Support offer management, onboarding and pre-employment checks for new hires.
 
* Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
 
* Maintain accurate HR records and HRIS data.
 
* Ensure employee documentation and systems access are updated for new joiners and leavers.
 
* Help employees access information relating to benefits, HR policies and company procedures.
 
* Support the review and communication of employee benefits.
 
* Assist with general HR administration and people operations processes.
 
* Work closely with the Head of People and leadership team to support a positive employee experience.
Qualifications
 
* Previous experience in a People Operations, HR Operations, HR Coordinator or HR Advisor role.
Required Skills
 
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
 
* Experience coordinating recruitment processes and interviews.
 
* Comfortable managing HR systems and employee data.
 
* Strong communication skills and ability to support employees across the business.
 
* Knowledge of UK employment practices and HR processes.
Preferred Skills
 
* CIPD qualified or studying towards qualification (preferred).
 
* Experience working within fast-growing companies, biotech, technology or life sciences environments.
 
* Proactive, organised and detail-oriented approach.
 
* Enjoys working in a hands-on operational HR role.
