Overview
People Lead (Mat Cover) We help companies get compensation right. What we get paid at work has a massive impact on our lives, and it’s one of the biggest factors in hiring and retaining talent - and yet so many companies struggle to get it right. They simply have no choice but to rely on poor data and unsophisticated tools for their pay decisions.
Ravio is growing fast and aims to become the global go-to place for compensation data and tools for managing compensation.
We created Ravio to help many of the world’s most innovative and ambitious companies build stronger teams and reach their goals through better compensation. Our real-time data platform tracks the market across all compensation types from salary to equity and benefits. We’re passionate about ensuring everyone is paid what they deserve, no matter their background or circumstances. Joining a startup and scaling it into a global product is a challenging and rewarding experience.

Key Responsibilities- Lead and empower a high-performing People team ensuring each function (People Operations and Talent) delivers exceptional, measurable impact.

- Oversee People Operations and all HR Business Partnering, owning the design and delivery of programmes that shape every moment of the employee lifecycle.
- Drive employee engagement, ensuring we listen deeply, act thoughtfully, and continuously improve how we support and inspire our teams.
- Strengthen leadership capability across the business, coaching, developing, and enabling high performance with senior managers and leadership.
- Guide and support the Talent function, bringing a strong understanding of modern hiring approaches and strategic workforce planning.
- Own performance and development frameworks, ensuring career growth, feedback culture, and learning opportunities remain core to life at Ravio.
- Act as a strategic partner to the executive team, bringing commercial thinking, clarity, and a people-first mindset to company-wide decisions.
- Navigate ambiguity and scale, ensuring the People team evolves ahead of the company’s needs and remains an accelerator and not a bottleneck within a scaling startup environment.
- Proven experience leading senior People teams ideally within scaling startups or tech-enabled businesses.
- Extensive background in employee experience, with a track record of designing and executing impactful programmes across multiple geographies.
- Strong leadership capability, with experience hiring, developing, and coaching senior People leaders.
- Deep understanding of talent processes, from strategic resourcing to enabling a modern, high-quality recruitment function.
- Exceptional stakeholder partnership skills, especially with managers and senior leadership, and comfortable advising on complex people issues.
- Commercially astute, with strong problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity, adapting quickly, making sound decisions, and thinking big.
- Experience working within scaling startup environments, ideally with exposure to rapid organisational evolution and change.
- There is opportunity for this role to become permanent as we grow quickly.
