HR Assistant - School-Based Role

Pay: £18-£22 per hour

A friendly and well‑organised HR Assistant is required to join a busy school in South London. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional to support the smooth running of the school's HR function in a fast‑paced and rewarding education environment.

• Provide day‑to‑day HR administrative support to senior leaders and school staff
• Support recruitment processes, including advertising roles, shortlisting, interview coordination and onboarding
• Maintain accurate staff records, contracts, and HR databases
• Assist with safeguarding checks, including DBS and right‑to‑work documentation
• Support absence monitoring, HR reporting and personnel documentation
• Respond to staff HR queries in a professional and confidential manner
• Ensure HR processes align with school policies and education regulations

• Previous experience in an HR or HR administrative role (school experience desirable)
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills
• Excellent attention to detail and confidentiality
• Confident using HR systems and Microsoft Office
• Clear, professional communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
