We are representing a well-established insurance company seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join the business on a 12-month maternity cover contract.

This is a hands-on role supporting senior stakeholders across the employee lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on UK payroll oversight
. The successful candidate will bring proven experience in managing payroll, working closely with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

• Acting as a trusted HR advisor to managers and leadership
• End-to-end payroll management and liaison with payroll bureaus
• Employee relations, performance management and policy guidance
• Supporting recruitment, onboarding and organisational change
• Ensuring compliance with UK employment law and internal controls

About you:

• Solid HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor experience
• Demonstrable UK payroll experience is essential
• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation
• Comfortable working in a regulated, fast-paced environment
• Pragmatic, commercial, and confident engaging with stakeholders
