Freelance Workday Lead Functional Consultant (Recruiting & Performance)

• Initial 6 months, with extensions expected
• Hybrid working: 2 days onsite in central London

Masentó are supporting a British household name that is seeking an experienced Workday Functional Lead consultant to take ownership of the Recruiting and Performance work streams.

This is a hands‑on functional role suited to someone who has led greenfield Workday implementations for Workday Recruiting and Performance, working closely with business stakeholders to define requirements, design future‑state processes, and drive delivery end to end.

The Role:

• Lead the implementation of Workday Recruiting and Performance
• Own requirements gathering, process design, configuration oversight, and delivery
• Act as the Workday SME, advising on best practice and “to‑be” design
• Provide guidance around integrations (e.g., job boards, third‑party platforms)
• Advise the L&D team on relevant training and change material

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong experience as a Workday Functional Lead / Senior Consultant
• Proven delivery of Recruiting and/or Performance implementations
• Comfortable leading without a formal Product Owner or large delivery team
• Able to work in fast‑paced, evolving environments with senior stakeholder exposure
• Strong communication skills – confident engaging with both technical and non‑technical audiences
