HR Manager – Fixed Term Contract (12 months)
Position located in London, hybrid – at least three days per week in office.
About the RoleWe are seeking a talented individual to join our Human Resources team at Marsh McLennan.
Key Responsibilities- Provide day‑to‑day advice across all aspects of the colleague lifecycle.
- Employee relations matters – investigations, performance improvement processes, disciplinary actions, grievances, appeals etc.; engage with the Employee Relations CoE for complex matters.
- Colleague performance management, skills and competence development and learning.
- Communications, change management and organisational effectiveness.
- Compensation, benefits and total rewards, including coaching People Managers on performance, rewards and annual benefits enrolment.
- Well‑being – manage local delivery of wellness programs, including annual health screenings.
- Leave, absence and related topics – coordinate return‑to‑work accommodations and logistics with workforce administration.
- Inclusion and diversity awareness and considerations.
- Career development – succession planning and internal mobility.
- Support and, where required, lead rollout and delivery of HR programmes regionally; contribute to process improvements.
- During organisational restructuring, coordinate activities to support People Managers and affected colleagues, including planning and execution of consultations.
- Ensure regulatory and statutory obligations are met locally – works council accountabilities and statutory reporting.
- Coordinate with the Global Mobility CoE to oversee all mobility activity and liaise with colleagues and mobility vendors for successful relocations.
- Support peers and less experienced HR Managers to provide a consistent, high‑quality service across all locations.
- Significant relevant HR experience and suitable qualifications.
- Experience managing complex employee relations cases from start to finish.
- Demonstrated ability to coach People Managers at all levels, including senior executives.
- Ability to identify improvement opportunities and implement change; willingness to coach less experienced HR colleagues.
- Thorough understanding of local employment laws, regulations and HR processes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills – connecting with business colleagues and wider HR teams, including CoEs and People Partners.
- Experience managing TUPE cases.
