Senior Events Catering Operations Manager

Location: Historic Venue, London

Salary: £40,000 per annum + overtime + excellent benefits

My client is seeking an experienced Senior Events Catering Operations Manager to lead the delivery of outstanding catering and hospitality across one of London’s most iconic historic venues.

This is a senior, hands-on role suited to a confident operator who thrives in a fast-paced events environment and takes real pride in delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will oversee high-profile events ranging from seated dinners of up to 200 guests to standing receptions of 400, ensuring every detail is executed flawlessly.

Working closely with clients, chefs and internal venue teams, you will take full ownership of event delivery, people management and commercial performance, while maintaining the highest standards of service, safety and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of catered events from planning through to execution
  • Recruit, schedule and manage large event staffing teams
  • Act as a senior point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships and exceeding expectations
  • Own event P&Ls, ensuring strong financial control, cost management and profitability
  • Collaborate closely with chefs, sales teams and venue stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery
  • Maintain exceptional service standards, presentation and attention to detail across all events
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety, food safety and licensing requirements
About You
  • Proven experience in a senior operations or catering management role within events, hospitality or venues
  • A natural people leader with the ability to motivate, manage and inspire large teams
  • Strong commercial awareness with hands-on experience managing budgets and P&Ls
  • Confident and professional in client-facing environments with excellent communication skills
  • Highly organised with outstanding attention to detail
  • Calm under pressure and comfortable managing multiple events simultaneously
  • Flexible to work evenings and weekends as required
