Commis Chef

The Fentiman Arms is a buzzy local pub, ideally positioned between Oval, Vauxhall and Kennington tube stations, close enough to the Oval Cricket Ground that you can just hear the roar of cricket fans on match days. It is a warm, homely pub with superb quality British food and friendly faces aplenty. The back doors open up into a large garden, adorned with festoon lights, and its very own bar and burger shack make it one of the best pub gardens in the area.

What we look for in a Commis Chef:

We are looking for an existing Commis Chef, an excellent Kitchen Porter, or an individual looking for their next step in their hospitality career, who consider themselves to have a passion and flare for producing quality fresh food in an environment that makes people feel welcome. As the successful Commis Chef you will:

Responsibilities:
  • Be an active hands‑on person with a passion to work hard as part of a team.
  • Have high standards and a great work ethic.
  • Show willingness to learn new skills; be an active team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Work alongside your kitchen team; you will be able to demonstrate your creativity and ability by helping to deliver top quality service.
  • Demonstrate great planning and organisational skills to complete day‑to‑day tasks.
