Overview
As a Housekeeping Steward at Britannic Explorer, a Belmond Train, you are part of a team responsible for providing an exceptional housekeeping service to our guests. In this role, you will ensure that all guest areas and cabins are well maintained, carry out back‑of‑house duties, and perform all service preparation punctually.
Primary Responsibilities Include- This is a seasonal role which runs from March to November in 2026.
- Providing excellent customer service to guests in accordance with Belmond and Leading Quality Assurance standards.
- Cleaning guest cabins and public areas according to departmental standards.
- Making guest beds with clean linen, replacing and adding guest amenities and collateral, and reporting any maintenance defects in the cabins and corridors.
- Assisting with general onboard duties, including greeting guests, helping with luggage and supporting other operational departments as required.
- Maintaining both team, personal, customer and non‑customer facing areas to the highest standards and always presenting yourself immaculately.
- Applicants must have eligibility to work in the UK.
- 1–2 years’ relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within the luxury hospitality industry.
- Hospitality qualification an advantage.
- COSHH knowledge and awareness.
- Knowledge of housekeeping operations, including cleaning practices, hygiene, safety & security, chemicals, cleaning equipment, bed‑making, arranging guest supplies, etc.
- Ability to work in high‑pressure situations, to follow instructions and work independently when required.
