Clinical Nurse Specialist – Chest Pain Clinics
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced cardiac nurse to join the Nurse - Led Rapid Access Chest Pain team. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated nurse with extensive experience within cardiology with excellent communication skills and an innovative and flexible approach. A key element of this role will include service development across all sites in accordance with NICE guidance
This post is based across the trust-wide to cover the services at Whips Cross, Newham University, Royal London Hospitals & The Barts Heat Centre. The hours are 37.5 per week. informal visit is encouraged.
To develop, influence and evaluate the Rapid Access Chest Pain Service and lead by example as the expert practitioner providing organisation and leadership to the multi-professional team.
The post holder will support nurse led services including the Rapid Access Chest Pain Clinics & Open Access Cardiology clinics, ensuring that appropriate referrals are made and that patients receive early diagnosis, treatment and management of their condition.

Person Specification Qualifications- Registered Nurse
- Evidence of ongoing professional development in relevant area of speciality
- Relevant post registration cardiac course
- Physical Assessment
- Non medical prescribing
- ECG interpretation
- Extensive post registration experience within a cardiac setting.
- Evidence of continual professional development
- Knowledge of audit
- Experience in delivering care in the outpatient setting
- Able to demonstrate management and organisational skills
- Prepared to achieve competencies relevant to the role
- Flexible and positive approach to work
- Able to demonstrate knowledge of relevant patient group
- Excellent communication skills with MDT and patient
