Main duties of the jobWe are looking for a Waiting list coordinator to support the Endoscopy Unit at the Royal Free Hospital. The successful candidate will be expected to lead in the administration of waiting lists for the Endoscopy Unit, co-ordinate all patient appointments and manage enquiries. There will be expectation to often be the first point of contact for all patients, relatives and visitors to the Unit.
The successful candidate is required to be able demonstrate the Trust values, the responsibilities of the job description and person specification.

Person Specification Royal Free World Class Values- Demonstrable ability to meet the Trust Values
- Educated to A levels or equivalent
- Awareness of NHS targets with respect to waiting times
- Experience working within a clinical/multi-disciplinary team
- Admissions and waiting list management
- Previous NHS experience in administration
- Dealing with complaints
- Experience of working with EPR /similar electronic patient administration system
- Use of Microsoft Office packages/ computer literate
- Track record of excellent customer care skills - face to face, by phone and in writing
- Ability to prioritise own workload and keep deadlines, using own initiative
- Accuracy in entering, maintaining and analysing data on electronic systems
- Able to effectively manage challenging/conflict situations
- Works well within an admin team to deliver quality service to patients and staf
- Demonstrates a 'can do' approach and is able to show initiative in problem solving
- Able to work cooperatively and communicate efficiently with a wide range of staff with differing levels of responsibility and professional backgrounds
- Understanding of the Data Protection Act
- Desire to learn, develop and expand within the role
- Further training or qualifications related to administration or computer an advantage
