Overview

We are looking for highly motivated reception administrators to join our dynamic and friendly team to work in a state of the art GP Led Health Centre, rated "Outstanding" by CQC, in Pinner which is open 8am-8pm, 7 days a week. We are an innovative and forward thinking EMIS practice committed to delivering the highest standard of patient care. Hours are mainly Monday to Friday;

some weekend cover is also required. Competitive salary offered.

Responsibilities
  • To provide and maintain a high standard of care for visitors and patients, and provide assistance to other members of the primary healthcare team.
  • To greet all visitors, telephone callers and patients accessing the practice professionally and ensure telephone calls are managed appropriately.
  • To assist patients in accessing the most appropriate healthcare professional to meet their clinical need.
  • To manage the flow of patients and patient administration queries and ensure administrative clinical pathways are followed.
  • Reception duties including booking in patients for surgeries and clinics, dealing with enquiries, taking messages, and processing appointments on EMISweb (today and future appointments).
  • Dealing with telephone queries/requests from patients and liaising with Doctors/Nurses; pulling and filing medical records as necessary.
  • Processing repeat prescriptions and arranging collection within 48 hours.
  • Taking home visit requests and advising patients of relevant charges for private services as applicable.
  • Receiving specimens from patients, ensuring details are recorded, and following Health & Safety policy.
  • Administrative duties: knowledge of practice policies, working to written protocols, providing administrative support for clinical staff, filing, post handling, registering new patients, scanning documents, sending letters, photocopying, and updating patient details on EMISweb.
  • Cover for other team members may be required during sickness or annual leave; other duties as agreed to ensure smooth running of the practice.
