Midwifery Team Leader
An enthusiastic and experienced midwife is required to join our community midwifery team as a team leader for maternity cover. We care for a diverse population with personalised care for women/birthing people and families. We are at the forefront of innovation, including partners staying overnight, enhanced recovery, and midwifery-led induction of labour and normalising birth. We work closely with Health Visitors as part of our integrated service.
Our service receives positive compliments from users and operates a Birth Centre with four pools and a Labour Ward with two birthing pools and telemetry.
Midwives work a varied range of shifts in all areas of midwifery, including days, nights, weekends and on-call to support home births.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful applicant will lead a team of midwives, providing both continuity of carer and traditional community midwifery services in Haringey and Islington, based at Whittington Hospital. The post holder will be responsible for delivering high quality antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care for women and their families, while helping the team meet the national ambitions for continuity of care and key performance indicators such as antenatal and newborn screening targets and booking in for maternity care by 9+3 weeks gestation.
